Laura brings a wealth of lived experience to her role which includes leadership in the corporate sector, teaching and training both adults and children, living abroad and extensive international travel. Laura brings a professional, supportive and holistic view to her engagement with others, whether that be those in her counselling room, her supervisees, or engagement with organisations.
Having worked in a corporate environment herself for several decades, and currently working with EAP organisations, Laura is well aware of the psychosocial hazards and risks which may present in the workplace, such as burnout, workplace conflicts, communications & leadership challenges, and lack of clarity around direction.
Laura also brings a worldly and inclusive view in communicating and connecting with differing cultures, having lived, travelled and worked across diverse cultural settings. This experience allows for a culturally sensitive understanding and approach to people from all walks of life, as it fosters a sense of belonging, of a ‘one humanity’.
Laura also has worked in the educational sector, as a trainer and also as a supervisor for counselling students pursuing higher education. Laura’s encouragement, understanding and holding in her level of support for others is incomparable and her enthusiasm for others in walking their path in life is contagious! She finds that it is incredibly joyful to support others in life, to work with them to bring out their unique gifts so that those gifts may be shared with the world.
The relationship you have with yourself is the most important relationship you will ever have in life.
